Ayer Geoff Keighley, productor del evento, twitteó desde su cuenta oficial un listado de los nominados a Mejor Juego del Año. Con esto, ya estarían completas todas las categorías para realizar el evento que se llevará a cabo el 5 de diciembre en el AXIS Theater de Las Vegas.

GOTY nominees are: Bayonetta 2, Dark Souls II, Dragon Age: Inquisition, Hearthstone, Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor.
